All About

Ombre Powder Brows

_____________________________________

Ombre Powder Brows is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo that is meant to mimic the appearance of brow makeup. It is done using a tattoo machine to create tiny ‘pixels’ or dots of pigment into the skin. These dots of pigment create a soft shading effect on the brow, and it is carefully mapped & fully customized to each and every client’s natural brow, face shape, bone structure, as well as preferences. It can be customized to be as soft & light or as dark & bold as you prefer.

Unlike Microblading, Powder Brows is suitable for ALL skin types, brow types & skin tones!

This is a 2-step process; your initial session, & a touchup session required around 8-12 weeks.

After both sessions, results can last between 1-3 years depending on your aftercare, skin type, and lifestyle. It will gradually fade, so annual touchups every couple of years are highly recommended so your new eyebrows can stay beautiful forever!💗

Also if you want to keep your brows looking freshly shaped (which I’m sure you do!), get rid of that unwanted hair & book an appointment for a brow wax!

Please Read The Information Below

Prior To Booking

Previously Tattooed Brows

If you have permanent makeup on your brows already from another artist, please send me a clear photo for approval prior to booking a coverup/colour correction appointment.

This is extremely important because if your previous work is too dark, mid-shaped, and/or uneven, a few sessions of laser removal or saline removal is highly recommended before booking with me to achieve the best possible results. (I have an amazing removal technician I highly recommend.)

I cannot give my best work if there is a tattoo underneath that is already too dark to put my work over.

Please keep in mind that corrective & coverup work may take multiple sessions.

The Healing Process:

What To Expect (Approx)

Below are the ombre powder brows healing stages (approximately).

The healing time & it’s process may vary from person to person. Some can heal faster than others & some can heal slower than others.

Yes they can get pretty ugly during the first couple weeks; scabbing can occur, & the itchiness can drive you crazy… but it’s TOTALLY worth it I promise! 💕

𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟭: Your new brows will oxidize, look bold & defined immediately after your appointment. Some also may experience a little redness from the procedure itself, which will subside in a day or two.

𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮-𝟱: Your brows will continue to stay darker due to scab formation.

𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟱-𝟭𝟰: Your brows will begin to crack & scab. They may also become itchy at this point. The scabbing duration & process varies with each client.

𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟰-𝟮𝟴: Your brows will then appear to be light & patchy, & sometimes even dull.

𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟴: Colour will begin to return & they will darken slightly. Generally, healing will be complete around this time.

The recommendation to avoid caffeine for a 𝚖𝚒𝚗𝚒𝚖𝚞𝚖 𝚘𝚏 𝟸𝟺 𝚑𝚘𝚞𝚛𝚜 before getting a cosmetic tattoo is given to help minimize certain potential side effects and discomfort during the tattooing process.

▫️ 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲:

Caffeine is a stimulant that can heighten your sensitivity, including your pain response. Consuming caffeine before getting a tattoo may make you more sensitive to the pain of the tattoo needle, potentially making the experience more uncomfortable.

▫️ 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠:

Caffeine can act as a mild blood thinner, which means it may increase the likelihood of bleeding during the tattooing process. Excessive bleeding can make it more difficult for the tattoo artist to work and achieve the desired results. Excessive bleeding can also lead to poor retention.

▫️ 𝐉𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬:

Caffeine can also increase anxiety or nervousness in some individuals. When getting a tattoo, we want our clients to be in a calm and relaxed state to make the experience more enjoyable and to allow the tattoo artist to work with precision.

▫️ 𝐏𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐍𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐠:

I do use topical anesthetic to minimize discomfort during the procedure. However, caffeine consumption prior to the appointment can also interfere with the effectiveness of the numbing agent.

✨✨On the bright side, you can have caffeine after the procedure! 😁🫶🏼

Aftercare

The recommendation to avoid caffeine for a 𝚖𝚒𝚗𝚒𝚖𝚞𝚖 𝚘𝚏 𝟸𝟺 𝚑𝚘𝚞𝚛𝚜 before getting a cosmetic tattoo is given to help minimize certain potential side effects and discomfort during the tattooing process.

Aftercare instruction cards will be in your aftercare take home kit, which includes a few shower shields to cover the eyebrows while washing your hair, 8 water wipe packets & brow balm.

It is extremely important to read thoroughly & follow these instructions. It is a must that you need to treat your new brows with the best care you possibly can so they heal properly.

Also if you want to keep your brows looking freshly shaped (which I’m sure you do!), get rid of that unwanted hair & book an appointment for a brow wax!
